CM flags-off vehicles for narcotics, cyber security bureau

Hyderabad: Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy on Tuesday flagged off new vehicles for the State Anti - Narcotics Bureau and Cyber Security Bureau at the Command and Control Centre in the city.
Speaking at the event, Reddy said that the Government has recruited staff and officials in the police department specifically to tackle drug menace in the State, for which it has allocated adequate funds.
He further said that the Government will award the officials, who work towards ending drug menace effectively, by promoting them. To approach this matter in a more holistic manner the Government will table this matter in the Assembly to bring out an Act soon.
Reddy also extended his gratitude to actor Chiranjeevi who is a partner in the government’s awareness programme against drug abuse. “The film industry has the social responsibility of safeguarding the society against substance abuse. I appeal to the film makers to make a short video against drug menace by involving the same actors in it, and play the video with the released film in the theatres every time.
